Welcome to P.S.

Welcome to  P.S. (and also Happy Valentine’s Day). I can’t believe the time has finally come to share P.S. with y’all.

Over the past couple of years, I have been trying very hard to find the purpose of my blog. Through lots of trial and error, and I mean LOTS, I finally came up with an idea. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a fashion designer. If you looked at all of my school notebooks and even my homework, you could find sketches of clothes everywhere. This dream died a little when I realized I’m not very good at sketching and I can’t sew. (Instead of sewing things I used this iron on adhesive to hem things…Yep, that’s how lazy I was.) At this time I played competitive soccer, which was a massive time commitment. I played high school soccer as well, until I got cut. When I got cut from soccer, my world was rocked upside down because I had to figure out who I was with out soccer. The first thing I did was dress way cuter to school because I didn’t have to change out during the soccer period (2nd period soccer sucked). For years I had been trying to fit in with all the other girls, and I was scared to truly be myself. After I finally got over my fear, I would show up to school in heels and whatever crazy outfit I chose for the day.  I became bold, and I figured out my true passion- fashion (yes I totally meant to rhyme). With some newfound free time and a love for fashion, I created a blog (ecsanchez.com). It was the beginning of a confusing, yet exciting new chapter of my life. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but I was determined to somehow make it work.

I chose Emerson College because I originally dreamed of being a broadcaster – specifically an E! News Fashion correspondent.  Now looking back on it, I have no idea how that was going to happen, because I can barely make a freaking Youtube video. Though my plans didn’t go how I expected, I ended up at Emerson with the major I was supposed to pursue – marketing. I always told myself I’d never be in business like my parents, and that I would never be caught dead in, God forbid, a cubicle. But fast forward to now and my parents are saying “I told you so”. I never realized how much I love business. I love it so much that I decided to minor in Entrepreneurship. And now this is where P.S. comes in…

I have never had a defined purpose with my blog besides being an expression for something I love. Over the past year, I have finally discovered what I want this platform to be. After many hours of searching, brainstorming, crying (happy and sad tears), I’m so proud to announce my business, P.S!

P.S. (for personal stylist) is a personal styling service in which I am your personal shopper. All you have to do is fill out a style quiz and tell me a little about yourself and I will create a box perfectly styled for your beautiful self. I wanted to break the stigmas of a personal stylist and make clothing styling available for all budgets. Though this business is still evolving and in the process of growing, I am going to give you a preview of what is to come. Elementary school me would not believe that my fashion doodles would one day turn into a personal styling reality. Thank you so much for all of your love and support, and I cannot wait to share P.S with you.

P.S. I can’t wait to get started!

  1. I love reading all about what you are doing. If you remember me I am Alex’ mom (remember her from soccer). I have been following your blog and I am enjoying it all. It is great to see you are doing very well. Good luck and take care.
